âïž BogotĂĄ Bound!
Greetings from the mission field! Welcome to Volume 3Â of The Whites On Mission Newsletter, where we share stories of Godâs work across the nations.
Yes!!! You heard it here first, our family is on our way to BogotĂĄ, Colombia.
Just the other day we were looking back at photos from four years ago of our family saying our goodbyes to the Colombian/Venezuelan people of CĂșcuta, Colombia who we loved and were loved by for three years. SP staff, the boysâ teachers, our church and so many more.
We are now packing our bags after a year of language and cultural learning in Puebla, Mexico and head back to Colombia, a country we have loved since 2018! The year in Puebla has been filled with hours of language learning, ministry learning, and so much more. Kevin has started traveling to Colombia for work and also supporting our Mâs from our home to learn his role in Logistics. Karen has gotten better and better in her Spanish with all of her hard work spending time studying, meeting with language partners, and talking to people throughout the city. She has taken two of three language test and will continue to study to finish her 1 year of language in Bogota. The boys have been busy playing sports, enjoying parks and also learning the language. Yes, their language is REALLY good. We were blessed to have them in a school that challenged them and loved them well.
This month will be filled with Christmas holidays with new friends, old friends, and our families. We are excited for that.
The new year will be learning our new rhythms of life with new language goals, partners and ministry opportunities. Kevin will dive deeper into his role and working together with his office team. The boys look forward to their new school but maybe not the hour bus ride or waking up at 5:30 am!!
Our family is thankful for the prayers we have received and also thankful for the SB churches who support us through the Lottie Moon Christmas offering every year. Because of your faithful support in giving, our family can do the ministry that we were called to do.
